Our ambassador François-Guy Thivierge braved the famous peak of Mount Huascaran in Peru, towering at 6,768 meters, with Ö products by his side to provide all the essential vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes needed for his ascent. This experience stands out as one of the most challenging highlights in his ambitious project to climb 55 mountains in 55 months.

Huascaran is the world’s highest tropical mountain range, known for its deep ravines, glacial lakes, and diverse vegetation, making it a stunning and dramatic landscape. "For me, this was one of the toughest of the 55 challenges. It requires several days of trekking at altitude, setting up camps, transporting food, and a lot of planning", shares François-Guy Thivierge.

He adds that Ö products truly contributed to his successful ascent. In the mountains, climbers cannot carry bottled water due to weight, and the freezing would cause it to freeze too quickly.
