When people think about hydration, it’s often about health, energy and what we’re pouring into our bottles each day. But at Ö Hydration, there’s something else that matters just as much: the nature that surrounds us.
Those forest trails that lighten the mind, the trees that shade us in summer and give us clean air all year long, these Canadian forests, from Quebec to British Columbia, have taken a hard hit in recent years. Increasingly frequent and intense wildfires have left behind scorched landscapes and fragile ecosystems.
So this year, we’ve decided to take action. Ö Hydration has partnered with Veritree, a Canadian organization that leads ecological restoration projects. Together, we’re helping to reforest a wildfire-damaged area in British Columbia by planting 200 new trees.
Why does this matter? Because every tree plays a role
First, they help stabilize damaged soils. After a fire, the land is vulnerable, prone to erosion and flooding. Replanting trees helps reduce those risks. Then, there’s the return of biodiversity: birds, insects, and forest animals need a home in order to come back. Finally, trees absorb carbon and help build resilience against climate change.
It’s a small step, yes, but a meaningful one. And most importantly, it’s just the beginning.
